I just found an awesome website. It’s pretty much a franchise finder. It gives you all kinds of different ideas of things that you could start up if you were looking to do something like that. Honestly that is something I have never thought of doing before, but then once I found that site it got me thinking. I’m not really saying I’m going to just jump right into something, but I am really going to take a good look at that site and get some ideas.
I have really been looking into a new life insurance plan for the wifey. Her job is really making me mad because they keep switching all of her benifts around. Last time I said if they switch it again, we’re just going to go out and find our own way of doing it. Well, she came home Friday night and they switched it again. So, we’re done with them we are going to find our own. The one I’m looking at is even cheaper than what we are paying now, so that is of course a no brainer.
My boss had me order some Primera labels for the office. I’m always the one that gets to pick these things out, and I don’t mind that. But, last time I got this kind of stuff, he didn’t like what I picked out. So, this time around I just went the easy way and picked what I knew he would like. I’m not that big of a fan of them, there was alot of cooler looking ones on the site, but it will keep him quiet, and that is pretty much priceless.
I’ve been looking into some new life insurance here lately. I have a pretty decent plan with work right now, but I just think they are charging me too much for what little I get. I’ve been looking at this site for a couple days now, and it appears that I can do alot better paying for it on my own. It’s always a topic I don’t really even like to think about, but it obviously needs to be figured out. I think after this quarter I’m going to drop mine from work and just do it myself. It will work out much better that way.
I really have no idea even what it is, but my boss told me I need to look around and find him a good price on a plasma cutter. Now, I haven’t really even stepped foot into our wharehouse in over a year, so I really have no clue what is going on in there. But, from what he says we really need one of these things, so it’s up to me to find him the best one for the best price. Why exactly am I always the go to guy when it comes to stuff like this?
Sometimes when I am at work my boss gives me the craziest things to look into and do for him. The day after Christmas, when I was only there for a couple hours anyway, he gave me this big huge project that revolves all around business performance management. At first I had no idea what he was talking about, but now as I sit home on my weekend off, I have alot of work to do now, and it’s a pain in the butt. I’m really starting to get sick of him pawning this kind of stuff of on me.
My boss told me when I was leaving on Friday that I need to find us some new intranet software. So I think I found the one I’m going to get for us. It’s called Epazz and it looks great. I’m going to have him download the free 30 day trial tomorrow morning and I’ll help him set it up. Hopefully I can figure out how to do it, if not I’ve heard that they have great tech support. This should do wonders for our group scheduling. I can’t wait to try it out.
You ever just don’t feel like working? That’s how I feel today. I’m not really sure why, I just don’t feel like doing anything. Which is kind of a bad thing, because I have felt that way alot lately, so I haven’t really been getting alot of things done like I need to. The less I work, the less I get paid and that’s not a good thing. But, I’m still thinking about just taking the rest of the day off and getting some rest and starting over again tomorrow. I think that would be my best bet.
Last week at work I got put in charge of ordering all the new conference tables for our new conference room. It’s been a while now since we’ve been trying to get this big office space, so as soon as we did, I was in charge of getting everything for it. It was cool because they gave me a certain amount of money to spend on it, but I ended up getting everything they wanted for alot less. So of course they were pretty happy about that. I asked them if I could keep the left over money, but for some reason they wouldn’t let me do that.
The last few weeks at work a few of the guys have been talking about plasma cutting. I honestly had no clue what any of them were talking about, so I just kinda did the smile and nod thing whenever they would bring it up. But after a while of being in the dark every day at lunch time, I decided to come home and hop online and look into it. I’m glad I did. Those machines are so awesome looking. It would be perfect for what we do at work. So, I showed my boss some infomation about it, and he took it to his boss. So, it looks like we might actually be getting one as long as the big shots approve it.
