I want to watch Donnie Darko tonight. I haven’t watched it in a quite a while now. But, last night I was listening to the soundtrack on my iPod and it got me to thinking about all the parts in the movie that they play the songs. So, now I have to watch it.
My wife has been reading up on something called fibromyalgia for the last few days. It’s not something I really know anything about but she keeps talking about it. Sometimes I feel bad when I don’t pay attention to what she is talking about, so this morning I went ahead and did my own research on the topic. So, when she gets home tonight and starts talking about it again, I’ll be ready to talk about it. I’m a great husband.
I just watched this video on YouTube of singer Alisa Apps talking about her sucking her thumb and that being her vice. I used to know somebody that sucked there thumb while being an adult as well, and I think she did it for the exact same reasons. I know what it is like to have a vice, or a habit and not being able to stop doing it. It is just like I am with my smoking, and I am currently working on quitting that, but it is surely not easy, at all. I think the craziest gift I ended up getting for Christmas was a big ole box of diet pills. My mom got them for me. I guess that is her way of saying that I am fat or something like that. I had already been looking into getting myself some, and she knew that, so she was obviously just paying attention to what I had been talking about. But, we all got a good laugh out of it when I opened that present, because I called her on it, and asked if she was calling me fat. It was funny.
One thing I never really thought I would be looking into and buying is medical jewelry. To be honest, a few months ago, I really had no idea even what it was. But, my cousin has been pretty sick lately, so it was a really good idea for her. Now she has a braclet on her at all times so that if something happens to her and none of us are around, people can see some of her information until one of us are able to be there with her. It’s basically jewelry that could save her life, and that’s priceless.
My sister and I are looking into starting a new business, but we weren’t sure how we were going to finance it. So of course I went looking around online to see how we could make this work. I’ve bought those little books before where you can put a little picture of your kid in the middle of the page, but that is nowhere nearly as creative as this is. I’m for sure going to order one for my oldest son, if not for both of them. They have other things on there too, not just Christmas books, so I might end up ordering a few of them.

I just got done doing homework with my 5 year old. I can’t believe kids have homework so young these days. He’s only in kidnergarten. It just seems bizarre to me that they expect so much out of kids these days.
