I’m listening to Tool’s 10,000 Days album right now and it’s actually the first time I have listened to it in quite a while. I still think that this is pretty much the greatest album ever made, hands down. It’s just perfect from start to finish. I hope they don’t wait another 5 years until they release there next album, but if they do it’s always worth the wait. Tool is the perfect example of quality over quanity.
When I was a kid, I hated The Beatles. But, now I can’t get enough of them. I’ve been listening to them for like 3 days strait now. Just going from one album to the next. There just isn’t music like this anymore. It was more than just music, it was a movement. That doesn’t happen anymore, because there is nothing new, nothing creative. It’s all the same thing..over and over again. Not that I was even thought of when The Beatles were around, but man I miss good music.
Back in the day all I really listened to was heavy metal. I guess it was a phase in my life, because now I can’t stand to listen to most of it. I just think most of it all sounds exactly the same anymore. The old bands from the 80s and into the early 90s were awesome. There just isn’t bands like that out there anymore, and it sucks.
I’ve been listening to the new Foo Fighters album for almost 3 days strait now. It’s really good and I am obviously really enjoying it. I love when a new album comes along that I just can’t put down. It’s great. I hope they tour here soon. I haven’t seen them live in almost 7 years, so it would be really good to see them again.
I need to get some new music. I’m kind of tired of listening to the same old stuff over and over. Problem is, most new music out there just doesn’t interest me. Everything I hear on the radio now a days just sounds all the same to me. So, I guess I need to find another way to find out about new bands that are out there other than the radio.
